Lawrence of Arabia
Regarded as one of the greatest films ever made, Lawrence of Arabia tells the true story of T.E. Lawrence, an English officer who successfully unites and leads a diverse band of warring Arab tribes during World War I to defeat the Turks. Winner of seven Academy Awards® in 1963, including Best Picture and Best Director, David Lean’s masterpiece stars Peter O’Toole in the title role and also features exceptional performances from Alec Guinness, Omar Sharif and Anthony Quinn.
In 1991, the film was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” and was chosen to be preserved in the United States Library of Congress National Film Registry. Originally filmed on 70mm, Lawrence of Arabia was made to be enjoyed in this high quality format on the big screen!
