From the director of the Oscar-nominated Winter’s Bone comes this touching portrait of a motorcycle-riding Vietnam veteran. There’s much more to Ronnie “Stray Dog” Hall than meets the eye; behind the tattoos and leather vest is a man dedicated to helping his fellow vets and immigrant wife and children as he also comes to terms with his combat experience.
RiverRun’s first Indie Lens Pop-Up screening of the season, Stray Dog, will screen Wednesday, October 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Huber Theatre on the campus of Salem College along with a Skype discussion with director Debra Granik following the screening. Granik received RiverRun’s Emerging Master Award in 2014, and Stray Dog was screened at RiverRun earlier this year, so here’s your second chance to see it! This event is FREE and open to the public. Seating is limited, so please arrive early.
