Join RiverRun and UNCSA on November 8 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Billy Wilder’s Sunset Boulevard with a screening of the newly restored print, followed by a conversation with film scholars David Lubin and Dale Pollock. The evening concludes with a book signing for Lubin’s acclaimed Ready for My Close-Up: The Making of “Sunset Boulevard” and the Dark Side of the Hollywood Dream.

It’s a summer RiverRun Retro! Join us for a free screening of the 2009 cult classic (500) DAYS OF SUMMER starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel. Directed by Marc Webb, this non-traditional romcom chronicles a man’s reflection on a casual relationship and the subsequent heartbreak, prompting audiences to debate who was at fault.

Join RiverRun at the Forsyth County Central Library for a powerful final screening in our 2025 Indie Lens Pop-Up series. Matter of Mind follows three families navigating the emotional and practical realities of Alzheimer’s, revealing how love and caregiving evolve through the disease.

Join RiverRun at the High Point Public Library for a free screening of Free for All, a documentary celebrating the vital role of public libraries and the people who fight to keep them open and accessible. A discussion with library staff will follow.

Join us for a free Indie Lens Pop-Up screening Home Court, directed by Erica Tanamachi and produced by Jenn Lee Smith and Brandon Soun, follows Cambodian American basketball prodigy Ashley Chea as she navigates the pressures of college recruitment, injury, and triumph in her journey to leave a lasting legacy.

RiverRun International Film Festival wrapped its 2025 edition by awarding top honors to Color Book for Best Narrative Feature and Mistress Dispeller for Best Documentary Feature. With over 10,000 attendees and 175 films representing 33 countries, this year’s festival celebrated bold storytelling and emerging talent across a wide range of categories.

RiverRun Executive Director Rob Davis will retire on December 31, 2024, after leading the organization since 2016. Beginning January 1, 2025, RiverRun’s Program Manager Mary Dossinger and Development Director Tiffany Jones will step in as co-interim directors to guide the organization through this transition

RiverRun is excited to present the third annual Can Film Festival on Saturday, December 7, benefiting Samaritan Ministries. This year, the event is expanding to include two holiday favorites: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Join us for a festive day of film while supporting a great cause!
