April 19-29, 2018

A partnership between a/perture cinema and RiverRun, Cineclub is an exclusive, year-round screening series designed to showcase new and exciting independent films that emerge in the many months outside of our festival dates.  Our programming team sees so many outstanding films throughout the year that it’s simply impossible to include them all during the festival proper, and Cineclub is another venue to highlight films that we adore but elude us somehow in April.  Cineclub screenings are held at a/perture cinema on the second Monday of each month at 8 p.m. sharp, and are open to the public.  These screenings are free to RiverRun members contributing at the Benefactor level or above as well, so visit our donate page to find out how to contribute. Whether it’s the festival gem flying under the radar, the quirky indie sensation that catches fire after over the summer, or the thought-provoking documentary everyone’s buzzing about, you can be sure to find it at Cineclub. Titles we’ve featured have included Holy Motors, Marwencol, Into the Abyss and Like Crazy, and we’re just getting warmed up!  For more detailed information and online ticketing, please visit the Cineclub Facebook page.
