A Conversation with Charles Burnett and Robert Townsend

An in-depth conversation and Q&A with two of the renowned talents who are part of our 2015 Spotlight on Black American Cinema.  Director Charles Burnett, a major force in the so-called “L.A. Rebellion” of filmmaking, is best known for his works To Sleep with Anger and Killer of Sheep, the latter of which was one of the first 50 films to be selected for the Library of Congress’s National Film Registry.  Robert Townsend has been nominated for over 30 NAACP Image Awards and has directed such memorable works as Eddie Murphy: Raw, The Meteor Man  and Hollywood Shuffle.
