Highway 301

As a part of our Film Noir Friday series and our salute to the Warner Bros. centennial, we present this 1950 film, which opens with scenes shot in downtown Winston-Salem! The story is based on the actual Tri-State Gang, a vicious gang of armed robbers, led by a psychopathic killer, who terrorize Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina, robbing banks and payrolls and murdering anyone who might identify them. The then-governor of North Carolina is featured in the film’s prologue. With special guest Foster Hirsch.

Only screening in person.
