Kindling
Following a diagnosis of terminal cancer, Sid is eager to make the most of his final days. Not only does he choose to spend time with his friends and family who have been by his side the longest, but he also meets and befriends a young woman, who he can be himself around, sans cancer. “Kindling” is ultimately a bittersweet celebration of life and friendship. Preceded by the short film “December.”
December
Two girls, Moe and Charlotte, lay under the stars outside an RV camper in the woods. Moe notices Charlotte’s beauty as the glow of the campfire dances on her skin. The group wakes early the following day, dresses in hunting gear, and begins walking through the chilled December woods. Until movement catches their eye. Moe’s father hands her his rifle, proud, and tells her to shoot. Directed by: Mae Mann
