Director Francesco Cabras is also an actor and managed to land a part in Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ. Using the sets and Italian locations of the film as an incidental backdrop and many of the film’s actors and behind-the-scenes personnel as primary interview subjects, Cabras and co-director Alberto Molinari cobble together a beautiful document about what it means to be alive.  The film–which is certainly not a “making of” documentary about The Passion of the Christ–poses very direct questions about spiritual beliefs to a broad cross-section of people involved in the film.
