In 2015, UNCSA alum Brett Haley wowed audiences with his film I’ll See You in My Dreams. In his latest feature, Haley once again turns upside down the idea of aging and mortality in this fantastic film about a Western star (played by the iconic Sam Elliott) who now spends his days reliving old glories and smoking too much weed with his best friend (Nick Offerman) until a surprise cancer diagnosis brings his life and priorities into focus. As he begins a relationship with a much younger comedian (Laura Prepon) and attempts to reconnect with his daughter (Krysten Ritter), he searches for one final role to cement his acting legacy.
After a fantastic world premiere in January at the Sundance Film Festival, the film went on to play at South By Southwest in Austin, TX and we are thrilled to bring the film and director back to his alma mater for its North Carolina debut.
Director Brett Haley to be in attendance for screening!
