Synopsis

Over the last decade, an oil boom in North Dakota has doubled its population and brought an influx of drugs, crime and sexual violence. Juxtaposing the landscape with testimony from young Indigenous women on the Fort Berthold Indian reservation, Nuuca reveals connections between exploitation of the earth and violence perpetrated against women and girls.
