There is a small village in the Balkans where everyone shares a common aspiration: to be a champion. The inhabitants of Shutka, the Romany (Gypsy) capital of the world, thrive on competitions for every imaginable type of superiority: songfests, goose fights, dog fights, neckties, collecting Turkish music cassettes and even fighting evil genies. Writer-producer-director Aleksandar Manic gains amazing access to the normally secretive gypsy culture.
