In his first feature film, writer-director Ali Selim masterfully dramatizes an understated love story and celebration of determination and the immigrant experience. When Lars Torvik’s grandmother Inge dies in 2004, he is faced with a decision to sell the family farm on which she had lived since 1920 or cling to the legacy of the land. Seeking advice, he turns to the memory of Inge and the stories that she, as a German mail order bride, had passed on to him.  The cast includes Elizabeth Reaser, Tim Guinee, Alan Cumming, Ned Beatty, John Heard and Alex Kingston.
