In this 2009 work from filmmaker Ciro Guerra, whose latest film Embrace of the Serpent was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at this year’s Oscars, Ignacio Carrillo travels throughout northern Colombia playing music on his accordion, a legendary instrument that is said to be cursed because it once belonged to the devil. When his wife suddenly dies, he decides to make one last journey to return the accordion to the man who gave it to him. Film to be screened on 35mm.
