Synopsis

For over six years, and for reasons he can’t explain, Matt Green has been walking every block of every street in New York City–a journey of more than 8,000 miles. And, for the past three years, director Jeremy Workman has been along for the ride, capturing Green and sides of New York City rarely seen on camera. His easygoing obsession and awe with everything around him are infectious and make the audience want to keep going on this bizarre and inexplicable ride.

Matt Green is an affable thirty-something young man who at one time was a civil engineer but when restlessness took hold, he decided to leave his job and begin this extraordinary undertaking. He saved up his money, gave up his apartment and now spends his nights on his friend’s couches or spare beds, house and pet sitting while they are away. While seemingly straightforward at first glance, the film begins to venture into the more existential and sociological as it progresses, telling the unique story of one man’s unusual personal quest and the journey of discovery, humanity, and wonder that ensues.

Director Jeremy Workman and the film’s subject Matt Green to be in attendance for screenings!
