free virtual screening - a town called victoria

Join PBS North Carolina and RiverRun for a virtual Indie Lens Pop-up screening of A Town Called Victoria, a co-production of Reel South and Independent Lens. When the local mosque is burned to the ground in an apparent hate crime, the town of Victoria must overcome its age-old political, racial and economic divides to find a collective way forward.

Following the hour-long preview screening, you will have the opportunity to participate in a virtual discussion with local subject-matter experts about civil rights, hate crimes, prejudice and resilience. PBS NC provides a safe space for this community-driven discussion to share your thoughts, ask questions, and connect with fellow viewers.
